Bridie O'Donnell my great grandmother was born in Lismore, Waterford Ireland October 1877 emigrated to New York 1903, married Gerald Prendergast also of Toor, Lismore had 3 daughters and died of Tuberculosis in Manhattan in 1909 at age 32. Bridie was the daughter of Richard O'Donnell and Helen O'Donnell (maiden name) of Main Street Lismore, Waterford. Richard's father was Michael O'Donnell, Main St. Lismore and his wife Helen was the daughter of Patrick O'Donnell of Deerpark, Waterford. Richard O'Donnell is a publican on Main Street Lismore in Slaterry's 1880 directory and after his death, wife Ellen O'Donnell is listed as shopkeeper in the 1901 and then son John F. O'Donnell is listed as spirit and general merchant in 1911 census.
