Captain Edward Kennedy registered the Mary in 1825 at St. John's Newfoundland (# S825091) and re-registered it again in 1827 as recorded Board of Trade books 107/489 and it is still owned by CLIFE and STOKES. Perhaps registration was good for a period of 2 years, I will inquire about that. The next ship he captains is the ORION in 1833 for the sealing season. The 1825 registration turns up the following names as Captains, it is likely that they took turns on the voyages out 2-3 months at a time and in the Sealing season split the costs of outfitting and supplies and did the same on any money made in the venture.

French, George Mary 1825091
Jordan, Henry Mary 1825091
Kennedy, Edward Mary 1825091
Stokes, William Mary 1825091
