All to whom these presents shall come I Bartholemew Kennedy of the City of Waterford in that part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, called Ireland, Yeoman do send

Whereas Pierse Kennedy late of Saint John's in the Island of Newfoundland hath lately departed this life Intestate unmarried and without any lawful heirs surviving and whereas the said Pierse Kennedy at the time of his decease at Saint John's aforesaid in the said Island of Newfoundland had divers goods, rights Credits and Chattels consisting as well of money furniture, stock in trade Tenements and premises and debts due and owing unto him; And whereas I the said Bartholemew Kennedy as the father of the said Pierse Kennedy deceased and by virtue of letters of administration to me granted and entitled unto all such property goods and chattels as he the said Pierse Kennedy died seized and possessed of or was by any ways or means entitled to, and unto all debts which were in any wise due and owing unto him at the time of his decease.

NOW KNOW ALL Men that I the said Bartholemew Kennedy have made ordained nominated constituted and appointed & my place & stead have put and deputed and by these presents Do make ordain nominate constitute and appoint and in my place and stead do put and depute John Kent now of the City of Waterford Gentlemen my true and lawful Attorney for me and in my name to ask, demand, sue for, recover levy and receive of and from all and every person and persons whomsoever who was indebted unto the said Pierse Kennedy at the time of his decease and into whose hands soever or forever custody or keeping any of the property furniture goods or chattels of the said deceased came after his decease or so to whom he may have given the same to keep and take care of previous his death and on receipt thereof or any part thereof any wittnesses receipts releases and or other good and sufficient discharges for the same fore me and in my name

to give make--?-institute carry on prosecute and defend all and singular such suits actions processes and proceedings whatsoever at law or in Equity or in any wise whatsoever as to my said attorney shall appear expedient or necessary for the purposes aforesaid, and attorney or attornies. Proctor or Proctors under him the said John Kent for all or any of the purposes aforesaid to execute and appoint and again at his pleasure -- to remove and revoke; and generally for me and in my name to enter into and give any consent and to do transact, manage and perform all matters business affairs and things whatsoever touching or in any wise concerning the said promises as fully and effectually to all intents and purposes as I myself or could do so cause to be done if I was personally present. And I the said "Bartholemew Kennedy do hereby testify and declare for myself my Heirs

Executors and Administrators that those present shall be a full faculty and power to the said John Kent and to all and every Attorney and Attornies, Proctor or proctors he the said John Kent shall nominate constitute and appoint in the said Island of Newfoundland to act in, superintend manage or transact all or any of the business matter or thing aforesaid or shall or may so require hereby ratifying confirming and allowing for myself my Heirs Executors and Administrators all and whatsoever he the said John Kent

shall or may lawfully do or cause to be done in or about the promises as fully completely finally and effectually to all intents and purposes whatsoever as I was personally present and ?? ?? myself. In witness whereto I the said Bartholemew Kennedy have to their presents subscribed and affixed my seal at Waterford in the County of, the City of Waterford in that part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland called Ireland this Second day of April in the year of Our Lord God one thousand and thirty one and in the first year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord William the fourth King of the said United Kingdom of Great Britain & Ireland & so forth..
